Donation Drive to benefit People and Pets in Need
Danville: On October 23, 2014 Tucker Associates Real Estate Services hosted their 10th annual Donation Drive. This year’s theme was a Tail Gate Party and Donation Drive to collect lightly used clothing and household goods to benefit Shepherd’s Gate and pet adoptions for Tri Valley Animal Shelter.
From 4:00pm – 7:00 pm the parking lot at Tucker Associates Real Estate Services was hopping to the musical talents of JJ Music Camps of Danville. Michael Taconni and his team of Home Land Financial set up a mobile BBQ with flat screen TV and served gourmet sausages with all the trimmings in support of the Tail Gate Party Themed event. Tri Valley Animal shelter was on site with adorable puppies, kittens and young dogs up for adoption. Shepherd’s Gate was on site with their donation truck to receive clothing and food donations.
Over 100 guests turned out resulting in a full truck load of useful items for Shepherd’s Gate. Tri Valley Animal Rescue reported 2 dogs were up for adoption consideration! Claire Aznoe, of Shepherd’s Gate acknowledged the long standing relationship between Tucker Associates and Shepherd’s Gate; “ Your group has been such faithful partners and have truly impacted lives of women and children at Shepherd’s Gate”.
In addition to the tangible donations, there was a raffle event. Many local Danville vendors donated raffle prizes to be raffled to raise money for the causes. The grand prize was donated by Porsche of Livermore for a weekend getaway in a brand new convertible Porsche.
The raffle raised over $500.00 Five Hundred Dollars in cash donations. Tucker Associates matched the cash donations and gave over $1,000.00 (One thousand dollars) in cash donations to the causes respectfully.
